Some interesting quotes from Obama and Hillary Clinton on illegal immigration.

One of the key points of Donald Trump's election campaign was tougher action against illegal immigration.

The rule of law, adherence to the law, and enforcement of the law is the key cornerstone of any civilized nation, but for some reason when Donald Trump spoke about enforcing the law on illegal immigration, the media tried to portray this as controversial. If you trusted the media, you would think that no president or politician in the history of the United States had ever taken action against illegal immigration.

Can the media be trusted?

Well, let's take a look at what former presidents, politicians and public figures like Obama, Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama have said on the subject of illegal immigration.

The video below is very enlightening...

Here are some quotes from the video...

Obama: "We all agree on the need to better secure the border, and to punish employers who chose to hire illegal immigrants."

Obama: "Those who have entered the country illegally, and those who employ them, disrespect the rule of law, and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law."

Obama: "We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country."

Hillary Clinton: "The Mexican government's policies are pushing migration north. There isn't any sensible approach except to do what we need to do, simultaneously secure our borders with technology, personnel, physical barriers if necessary in some places, and we need to get tougher employer sanctions, and we need to try to incentivize Mexico to do more. If they've committed transgressions of any kind they should be obviously deported."

Charles Schumer: "People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter the US legally."

Charles Schumer: "When we use phrases like undocumented workers, we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose."

Bill Clinton: "All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected, but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public services they use impose burdens on our tax payers."

Bill Clinton: "That's why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before."

Michelle Obama: "Yet today here in Washington folks are still debating whether or not to fix our immigration system even though just about everyone agrees that it is broken."

Hillary Clinton: "I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in, and I do think you have to control your borders."

Bill Clinton: "We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years and we must do more to stop it."

Given the public stance taken by previous presidents, politicians and public figures, why are the media trying to portray Donald Trump's position as controversial? Bill Clinton's speech received a standing ovation. If enforcing the law on illegal immigration deserved a standing ovation when Bill Clinton was president, why should it be any different now? Hillary Clinton 'voted numerous times' to spend money to build a barrier. Why therefore is Donald Trump's proposed wall controversial? What is different between Trump's position, and the position of previous politicians and presidents?

Perhaps the only difference is that previous politicians and presidents spoke empty rhetoric. Donald Trump will actually follow through on what he says.

Here's another enlightening video which features speeches given by Bill Clinton and Obama on illegal immigration...

Here's the transcript from Obama's speech...

Obama: "Even as we are a nation of immigrants, we're also a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws. I believe that they must be held accountable, especially those who may be dangerous."

Obama: "When I took office I committed to fixing this broken immigration system, and I began by doing what I could to secure our borders, but today, our immigration system is broken, and everybody knows it."

Obama: "There are actions I have the legal authority to take as president. Tonight I'm announcing those actions. We'll build on our progress at the border with additional resources for our law enforcement personnel, so that they can stem the flow of illegal crossings and return those who do cross-over. If you're a criminal, you'll be deported. If you plan to enter the US illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up."

Obama: "We expect people who live in this country to play by the rules. We expect those who cut the line will not be unfairly rewarded. The actions I'm taking are not only lawful, they're the kinds of actions taken by every single republican president and every single democratic president for the past half century. So those members of congress who question my authority to make our immigration system work better, or question the wisdom of me acting where congress has failed, I have one answer. Pass a bill."

One of the key quotes from Obama in my opinion was this...

"The actions I'm taking are not only lawful, they're the kinds of actions taken by every single republican president and every single democratic president for the past half century."

Why are the biased media not reporting this? Every president for the past half century has taken action to prevent illegal immigration. When previous presidents did it (or claimed to do it), such as Bill Clinton, they received standing ovations. Yet when Donald Trump wants to prevent illegal immigration, sections of the biased media try to argue that such action is racist.

Why was it not racist when Obama spoke out against illegal immigration?

Why was it not racist when Hillary Clinton 'voted numerous times' in favor of a barrier?

Why was it not racist when Bill Clinton 'deported twice as many criminal aliens as ever before'?

Why was it not racist when Obama called for illegal immigrants to be 'held accountable, especially those who may be dangerous'?

Enforcing the law isn't racist. Enforcing the law is the cornerstone of any civilized nation. People of all races must obey the law. Race shouldn't be an issue.

Again, why was it okay when Obama spoke out against illegal immigration, but not when Donald trump did exactly the same thing? Why do the media react at polar opposites of the spectrum when Donald Trump and Obama both endorsed the same policy of enforcing the law with regard to illegal immigration?

Again, the only difference that I can see is that Obama spoke empty rhetoric. Donald Trump will actually follow through on what he says.

Donald Trump, like many previous politicians, has promised to get tough in illegal immigration. Yet on this occasion the media have reported on his policy in a way designed to stir up hate and anger. Despite the fact that previous presidents have made speeches which shared the same viewpoint.

The mainstream media have lied to us all. The mainstream media have deceived the public. The mainstream media have celebrated one president, and vilified another, when both publicly endorsed the same policy. The mainstream media have indoctrinated many people into accepting their hypocrisy. The mainstream media don't care about facts. The mainstream media just want to brainwash gullible viewers into believing whatever agenda their corporate paymasters tell them to push that day.
