In President Trump we finally have a president who understands the art of war.
In light of the developing situation with North Korea, I thought it would be relevant to highlight a selection of President Trump's tweets over the years.
1) "The Supreme Art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." - Sun Tzu
2) "He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot, will be victorious." - Sun Tzu
3) "There is no instance of a nation benefiting from prolonged warfare." - Sun Tzu
4) “If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles.” - Sun Tzu
5) “Invincibility lies in the defence; the possibility of victory in the attack.” - Sun Tzu
6) “He who defends everywhere, defends nowhere.” – Sun Tzu
And finally, an example of President Trump pointing out Obama's strategic incompetence...
7) "In war, the elememt of surprise is sooooo important. What the hell is Obama doing."
Anyone who thinks President Trump doesn't understand the art of war, clearly hasn't been paying attention.
Sadly, some elements of the anti-Trump media have been acting almost like the PR Department for Kim Jon-Un in recent days. My advice to all those media commentators who think they know better than President Trump would be, "Stop embarrassing yourselves."
Let's look at the approach to North Korea from previous presidents.
Bill Clinton's strategy1 was to give North Korea two nuclear reactors and $4.5 billion dollars as long as North Korea promised not to use the technology to create nuclear missiles. Surprise, surprise, North Korea later admitted they started researching nuclear warfare technology the very day they got the reactors.
Obama's strategy was to stick his head in the sand, order the media to keep quiet2, and hope the problem would go away. Surprise, surprise, the problem didn't go away.
Fortunately we now have a leader who understands the art of war. After all it was only a few months ago that Trump took on the democrats, the Deep State, the establishment Republicans, and almost the entire media, and still came out victorious.
On a final note, here's a relevant video of President Trump talking about the North Korea problem as far back as 1999.
